FAQ

What type of photography do you specialize in?
My ‘specialty’ lies in location-based photography and video. This can be executive portraiture, high school senior portraits, photographing children, babies, family photos, aspiring models, dance school portraits and live performance photos. I also have extensive experience in outdoor commercial photography, nature photography, event photography and video, corporate video productions, training videos and television commercials.

I also specialize in lighting – which is THE most important element in photography and video. Whereas many photographers label themselves ‘natural-light’ photographers, I prefer to specialize in ‘good light’. This may mean supplementing natural light with flash when appropriate to bring out your best.

How much are your photo sessions/ sitting fees?
My ‘typical’ portrait session ‘sitting fee’ (for individuals and families) costs $250 for two hours of shooting. This gives you a large variety of photos to choose from. Please contact me with your individual needs. Keep in mind that sitting fees are subject to Arizona state sales tax.

What is included in your sitting fee?
There are three parts to every photo session – the consultation, the shoot itself, and the presentation. There are no additional fees for multiple clothing or location changes. I usually recommend no more than three clothing changes during the session, as more changes will reduce the number of finished photos. Because photography is personal we will sit down and review the photos from our session during the ‘presentation’. During the presentation I can even help visualize what your photos will look like in you home. And, of course, any photo you purchase will be professionally retouched.

How much is a 5×7, 8×10, etc.?
I have many packages to suit your budget. For individuals I specialize in creating art that you can display with pride in your home and office.  I also offer a large variety of smaller gift prints, wall galleries, books, etc.   I am happy to discuss your project and pricing during a no-obligation consultation.

Can I share our photos on Facebook?
Yes! If your purchase a package – internet friendly files are included. These files do not include permission for personal printing, however.

What should I (or we) wear?
Clothing consultation and suggestions are part of the consultation element of every portrait session.

In group photos I am generally not a fan of everyone wearing the same clothing (like all-white or all-black). That being said, I do believe in some color (and style) coordination. As an added bonus, you can use my RV/ Production vehicle for added privacy for clothing changes.

What if it rains?
Here in Tucson we are fortunate to have one of the best climates for year-round shooting in the country. But – even cloudy days can be great for shooting! Don’t worry, I won’t drag you out in the middle of a dust-storm or monsoon. Rescheduling for weather (i.e. heavy rain, snow, red-flag wind) or any unforeseen circumstances on my part are, or course complimentary.
